Brice received his first guitar as a gift from his mother at the age of 14 and has pretty much been playing ever since. He moved to Grand Junction in the summer of ’96 and quickly began playing music around town in every coffee shop or open mic he could find. He formed bands with musicians that later became Jack + Jill, Lincoln Pants Band, Haven Effect and Lionvibes.
After a lot of hard work and dedication, he created his first solo album: For the Road. Over the course of three years, he produced, mixed and recorded the whole album. The vocals, guitars, bass, keys, and percussion are all done by Brice and he credits this new digital age for providing a recording opportunity that didn’t exist before. Each of the eleven tracks is his own original composition and he describes his music as “Urgent, mid-life-crisis big beat alt-rock.”
We are excited to feature Nowboy’s songs on Colorado Grown! Don’t forget to check it out and tune in every Sunday evening!
