Full Moon? Clear Skies? Snow on the Mesa? If you can answer yes to these three questions, I highly recommend you do a snowshoe/ski adventure at night!! We went up to Skyway Trailhead on The Grand Mesa and started our adventure at 7PM.
- Layer up! It’s definitely colder without that sun beating down on you, but once you get moving, you warm up pretty quick.
- Bring a headlamp! If any clouds roll in, it helps to have the extra light.
- Go with a group! This is a slight personal preference, but with it being darker and less people around in general, it feels safer to have a few extra people around.
- Don’t forget to bring some snacks!
- And last, but certainly not least, have fun!!
